BJP MLA Calls Vande Bharat Train Altercation by Party Supporters ‘Unfortunate’
The MLA stated that the passenger and his companion behaved rudely and issued threats, adding that video footage now backs his account.

BJP’s Babina MLA Rajeev Singh on Thursday addressed the May 19 incident aboard the Vande Bharat Express, describing it as a “misunderstanding” that escalated unnecessarily. He called the subsequent altercation involving his supporters in Jhansi “unfortunate and unintended.”
Speaking at a press conference, Singh said he had been traveling with his wife and children from Delhi to Jhansi and had “politely requested” a fellow passenger to swap seats so the family could sit together.
According to the MLA, the passenger and his companion reacted rudely and issued threats. He further claimed that video evidence now supports his version of the events.
